Either state it doesn't matter.
Check with an attorney.
If you live in the Milwaukee area, I can give you the name of My divorce attorney..
Send me an email and I will get you the name..

Good luck...

by the way in most states if you cannot find a person to serve them the court also accept it if you take an ad out in the paper of the town at their last known address as spouses do this type of thing all the time so check it out with a counseltation with a divorce attorney, in your state, and by the way the state you would file in would be wisconsin as you reside there aand so do the children, it goes by whoever files is where it is heard, good luck as i'm sure you are going to need it

You can file for divorce on grounds of abandonment. Same goes with custody. Doesn't require her to be served. The divorce goes through your state because you filed and both you and children are residents.

The divorce can happen where ever the person filing for it lives. Contact your lawyer.
