Most Bunny's go to one spot in the cage to go potty . SO buy a litter box and put feline pine or something similar in it and place in the spot they have chosen to use as their bathroom.

first.. find a spot that the rabbit usually goes to the bathroom.. probably a corner.

second.. put some kind of a litter box in place of the "bathroom spot"

third.. fill the litter box with either cat litter or you can use wood shavings but they stink when the rabbits pee on them
(if you use litter make sure it doesn't have any "crystals" in it)

fourth.. the rabbit should be using the bathroom in the litter box and if there are any droppings else where then place them in the litter box so that's where the scent is and your rabbit will realize that's where they are supposed to go.

Rabbits are creatures of habit, just like people.
Is quite alright to use pine shavings as litter, but NEVER CEDAR because it isn't good for the respiratory system.
You will find the rabbit urinates in the same spot repeatedly but doesn't poo always in the same area.
Keep the litter box away from the food and water.

Alright, first thing is first. Do not use cat litter. If the rabbits eat it, it could do them a lot of harm. Use shredded newspaper if you have to, as if they eat it, it won't do them any harm

Second, in order to teach him how to use it, it will take time, take a little bit of the bedding from their tray that has some of their urine in it, and put it in one of the corners of the litter box. Direct them to it every once in a while, and if they go to the bathroom in it, praise them. Follow it up with a small treat (a little bit of banana is good) It may take a couple days for it to sink in, but it works.

Litter box in one spot, water in another, pellets in another, and hay in the other.
The rabbit won't defecate where it eats.
Of course, It may work out its own favourite spot in no time. By the way, they will chew plastic corner trays like crazy.
Try putting some aluminum foil over all the edges to get him to leave it alone.
It'll work! My bunny is awesome at using his litterbox. Never gives me any trouble!

the same thing happend to me! put the litter box in the corner b.c. bunnies have the instinct to go there. pick their fav corner then put plain pellets in it. that was the only thing that got my bunnies going to it. now they are 100% littertrained @ 2 months old!

put the litter box near the his/her food bowl/dispenser. most rabbits use the bathroom right beside the area they eat, so this should get your rabbit accustomed to using the litter box.

and wood shavings would be all right to use.
good luck!
