Judging from you question, I would advise you to drop out now before you spend any more money on an education which you clearly are not equipped.

Well, hate to tell you this but many of the first semester courses are foundations to the higher level ones and engineering is notorious for weeding out kids in the first year. You're gonna have to work you fanny off to compete with other kids that did well. I'd say if you encounter even the slightest bit of problems you'd do best to hire a tutor.

YOU did not volunteer which school you are attending and if you
are working on your major.

While others would disagree with me,
I suggest that none of what you missed will harm you; you can
re-take every class and I suggest you do so!

AND if you have any health problems,
income problems, roommate concerns, work them out now.

I took 4 yrs to complete my studies
after finishing my first 2 yrs rapidly
and became a teacher!

If there's any time left in this semster do as well as you possibly can. After you get your grades, take a look at them and think about whether or not any of them are so bad that they will negatively affect you in the long run. If one or two of your grades are really bad, retake the course to erase the low grades.
