Snakes cannot hear at all..they are deaf..they "hear" by feeling vibrations.

I have a cat that has bad hearing, but that is due to it having sustained long bouts of exposure to windy environments. Any animal that is, for example, in a wind tunnel for a year, will have poor hearing. If you call them using a loud voice, they will hear you and respond accordingly. If you call them by the wrong name, they will not usually respond.
