No most people dont' want to be bothered at home. Not to many people like telemarkers or cold calling.

If you want to gain people for your business of a product your selling drop off flyers in there mail boxes or put up a note in your local grocery store that way the people who are interested will call you .

Yes to a certain degree it does work. Look at it this way, all major service providers cold call one way or another, and they spend millions on market research. So it obviously works or they would stop doing it.

You might catch a couple of suckers, but I think cold calling bugs most people.

If you call enough people it will probably work, though. Otherwise all those telemarketers would be out of work.

This is called TELEMARKETING.

There is a special level of hell devoted to telemarketers. It's intrusive, it's annoying, and it's obnoxious. Advertise your product/service where people will see it, and if they're interested, they'll come to you.

Everytime someone cold calls someone, God kills a kitten. THINK OF THE KITTENS.

Depends on the type of service. . . .the numbers of calls you have to make for a very small return is amazing. . . hundreds of calls for two solid leads. . . .If you can target your prospects, narrow it down in some way, that helps a lot in increasing the number of successful calls.

I think it would get people to hate you and curse about you. Just throw flayers in mail boxes or pay for an advertisement on the newspaper. But don't bother people. This is my advice.

Does it have anything to do with marriage and divorce by the way?

calling people sucks for me to be honest because the customers tend to not listen, hangup, or curse you out. If you want a job that is dealing with phones try inbound call centers it is better and much easier

i'm a telemarketer-all cold calls-people HATE me.it is such a huge waste of time,i can't believe my co. makes a profit-actually,i can, with what they pay me!but all you get is attitude, and sent to voice mail-believe me,it gets very mentally taxing.you're better off with fliers-i'd prefer it.

Try door to door in the area you would like to work in, then get referrals, or leave a flyer.
