i make 18,000 this year last year i made around 12,000 and got 2,700$ for him, will i still quilify if the only thing that has changed since is that i made 5,000$ more this year

yes, you should get both the Earned Income credit and a child tax credit. what do you mean you got 2700 for him? if you mean you received child support that is not taxable. Also, DO NOT take you taxes to H&R Block or any other tax service that will charge you try to get you to take out a refund loan...they are complete scams and a lot of times do not do a good job on filing accurate returns. Google VIDA in your area or go on the IRS website and find their advocacy link and it will show you people in your area that will do your taxes for free.
