Yes, in the long run & in the grand scheme of life it does pay ... if he's the right one. It never pays if he's the wrong one, and U usually don't find out until it's too late if he's the wrong one. So, it's a gamble ... U can't win if U don't play & U can't play if U don't gamble! (U can reduce the odds of course, but that would lead to a dissertation I'm sure U don't want to read right now LOL)!!! Best of Luck to U, however U decide!!!

Nope, they're not worth it if they're not there for you when you need them.
I still remember a guy that I had been there for, 100%, but when I thought I might have uterine cancer then he was too busy to be bothered with my problems. Fortunately, it turned out not to be cancer but I realized that I'd been foolish to give so much to someone without first checking to see if they were worthy.
There's a saying in Spanish that translates into "Better alone than in bad company" and I've told it to so many women that a friend had it embroidered on a pillow for me. "Mejor sola que mal accompaniada." That's my motto now.

You know, when I saw this question, all it said was; DOES IT PAY TO HAVE A MAN IN YOUR LIFE? And I said yes, sometimes they can be your best friend, but when I opened it and saw the rest of the question I said NOPE, if your man is not your best friend than why have someone there just to call that someone someone else in your life you know what I mean/ If you are going to have a person in your life, it should be someone you call friend, not someone you classify as someone else in your life!
Would you check this out plz plz plz?

Great question....I haven't really had one in many years. Now I kind of want one because I'm at an age where I look for companionship. Companionship and love. Sex would be secondary. It's just hard to find the right one and I won't settle for just anything.

If he's not there emotionally, no I can't see it paying off. On the other hand, my man travels for work, so I have to deal with a lot of things myself knowing that I have his support but I don't have him to hug or just 'be there'.

The man in your life, and I mean THE man, should ALWAYS be there for you (and vice versa). If you can't even care THAT deeply for each other, why are you together?

6 of one, really. They are great to have around for those brawny around the house "man" jobs. And sex. But when you need them emotionally they are useless.
