I have to prove that artists generally live longer than the rest of the population. (that is if they don't kill themselves or aren't killed in an accident) Anyone knows where I can find such information??

Death rates include accidents. That is part of living.
Pablo P lived to 92. Longer than average.
Van gogh 37. So far the average is 64.5. Just keep adding to the total. I am sure that on average, they live on average. For every Michelangelo there is a sad dead artist who was younger than average.

I have no idea, search engines? Wow, that's going to be tough, what defines an artist, and what defines art? I think you're not going to be able to find any pratical data, and maybe that's the point of the lesson?
