I went to one when I worked as a Teller at a bank during college. They had an open bar, and I preceded to get drunk then confess my love to my (very very hot) older boss. Luckily she was a good sport about it.

My husband company doesn't have parties.
They cater in food for all the shifts for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Then the supervisors and spouses are treated to a dinner at a fine dinning place.
Yes, we go to that, all supervisors do and wives, it is expected.
The only thing I/we have regretted is last years. We didn't stay long because are youngest daughter was sick and we didn't talk to one supervisor--only a Hi and Goodbye--he was at another table.
We didn't know that would be the last words we said to him, he died two days later, so we regreat not talking to him more.

Free room in the French Quarter, live music, and the Saints game...... what could be a better weekend?
The only thing i worry about is drinking too much, but then again, every other year, EVERYONE has mad an asss out of themselves.

I did last year and didn't like it at all. I'm not going this year. I feel there are way too many "clicks" in the work place and I don't like that.
