Immediately after the disapearance of Madeleine McCann, Gordon Brown no less was on the phone to the parents and David Milibrand was off to see his Portuguese counterpart to ensure that 'no stone was left unturned' by the Portuguese Police.

Now the government have put distance between them and the McCanns, so much so that the McCronies are starting to complain.

What do the UK government know about the two child neglectors that we dont ?

Could the McConn's be losing their touch? Who do they think they are? There has been too much interference and influence already for these two 'suspects'. In case they had forgotten they are responsible for the fact their daughter is missing and most criminals don't get Government support unless there is something in it for the Government.. M I wonder. It's a pity the McMe's didn't put so much effort into telling the truth..

Winyard has obviously got more money than sense and is living in a dream world. Doesn't it enter his tiny brain WHY the "shutters have gone up " ?? Probably because Brown has enough problems of his own and he suddenly realises that he should stop interfering with this high profile police investigation. He has now realised that this case is a hot potato and is an expert at distancing himself when trouble looms over the horizon. If Winyard feel the need to continue supporting this pair then that's his choice but he should leave other people out of it.Brown has interfered enough in this charade.

im amazed at the cronies wanting high level ministers to meet with them at all, who the hell do they think they are. the mccanns are police suspects in a crime in portugual, they are not being held hostage in some third world undemocratic country, hidden in a concrete cell, they have the best lawyers money can buy (not their own money notice) and are living comfortably in rothley manor.

it is quite right that the government does not get any more involved with this lot than had already happened

Or vice versa ? many things do not add up, the MacCanns being helped, earlier on in the summer, by prominent members of the Jewish community seemed to me then as being more than a little strange and now in the light of current events re David Abraham, i find myself wondering, just what in the hell is going on ?

I think the question is more 'what do YOU know that the rest of the world doesn't?' I think YOU must be more involved in her disappearance than you are making out. You know far too much.

My guess is that the government want to put a lot of distance between them and the McCanns in case you get involved and I reckon they have better things to do like losing 25 million files.
