It seems like kissing, getting physical, etc. tends to be so meaningless in our culture. Am I the only one who feels like because getting physical with someone is so casual, people become numb, and unreal? Like they cut their real feelings off because if they don’t, they’ll probably get hurt?

Well, depends on the person doesn't it? Seems to me like you are dissatisfied with the intimacy in your life. Just because you see something on TV & movies doesn't mean you have to do it. Have standards and respect yourself. Getting physical with some one shouldn't be so casual and unreal. Start anew.

u r totally right and the meaning of "friend" is someone u can count on thru thick and thin and will give u the shiry off their back. Everyone else is an aquaintance.

yes! the more quickly you become physical with someone the harder it is to really get their attention or get to know them.
if u wait before getting intimate you're more likely to have a lasting meaningful relationship.
