Letting Bush run for another term would require a Constitutional Amendment (to reverse the previous Constitutional Amendment with forbad more than two terms).
However, we have a perfectly good solution. Just vote........... for me!
Now I know what you're thinking: it would invite disaster to elect a neophyte to a position of such power. Normally, you'd be right. However, since I realize my deficiencies, I would run the Presidency as one would run a Corporation: by following the counsel and advice of my best advisors.
Newt Gingrich and Condaleezza Rice would guide me in most important matters. They would also educate me each evening so that I grow in the position of President.
To prove my worthiness as next President of the United States of America, as well as Commander-In-Chief of the armed forces, let me tell you a few things I would immediately institute after my election:
1) Duplicitous shrews like Hillary Clinton from even entering the White House grounds.
2) Cancellation of any tv show with a babe like Jeri Ryan.
3) Temperature in shopping malls above 67 degrees. (sweaters have become useless)
4) People like Al Franken from holding public office.
5) Idiots like SFO City Manager Alberto Sandoval from working in a capacity higher than the fry station at McDonalds
6) Ugly, boxy glass skyscrapers that show no innovation
7) Welfare mommas from having more than one child
8) Bad drivers from possessing a drivers license
9) Immigrants who want the U.S. to change to suit their preferences, instead of assimilating
10) Michael Moore movies from receiving the classification of "documentary"
11) American fast food restaurants from polluting the eating habits in other countries with overseas locations.
12) Martin Luther King Day. That should be reserved for Presidents. It would be replaced with Ronald Reagan Day, aka Cold War Victory Day.
13) Phony weight loss drugs
14) Paris Hilton from procreating.
15) TV networks from highlighting only American Olympic athletes, and always presenting some sad tale (complete with violins) of how they had to overcome almost cartoonish hardship and adversity to get there.
16) Baby harp seal clubbing.
17) CEO's from making more than 50 times that of the average worker.
18) Illegal immigration
19) Contracts or tenure for sub-standard school teachers.
20) Traitorous, treasonous acts against the U.S. going unpunished or unpublicized... and that includes aiding the enemy in time of war.

No he should not. The US was founded on people who wanted freedom from many things, one being a King. The laws regarding the office of the President were enacted so that no one man could in effect become the supreme ruler of the US. Agree or disagree with these laws as you wish but they are there to protect this country from becoming something it was not intended to be and will continue to protect future generations from this same thing.
The President is not a supreme leader he can not do things at his whim, there are supposedly checks and balances in place to ensure that the will of the majority is carried out and not the maniacal wishes of one man drunk with power.
Unfortunately with the passing of the Patriot Act Bush could legally suspend elections if he deemed a sufficient national emergency and remain President until he sees the threat as passed.

One could include Bush as one of the incompetents. Besides, he never won an election in the first place. We're now 7 years into a right-wing coup. Why would anyone aside from the wealthy-elite want to continue with that?

I think any and all of the candidates in both Republican or Democrat are vastly more competent than W.Bush.
Yes. Bush could declare martial law that would circumvent the power of Congress. That would basically make him a dictator.

No, to follow Constitutional law, limiting a president to two terms, is more important than being a fan of any president.

No, I agree with most of the other answers ... He must follow the law ... 2 terms max ... I only hope who ever takes his place has as much courage as he does and the strength to do what is best for the country even if it is not always what is the most popular.

You must be very young not to realize what damage this president has done to this country. I wish he would resign immediately. Cheney too. I'm not too excited about any of the candidates either, but most of them would at least abide by the constitution.

No. The Constitution is clear on this. Two terms. Period. And in my opinion even those of us on the right are ready for a change.
