I'm thinking of purchasing a Sony VAIO VGN-FZ260E/B, but really not clear on the 1080HD labeling. The screen resolution is 1280x800, but is that enough to tell its HD when watching a blu-ray movie? Does screen resolution need to be better to tell the difference?

that laptop display is capable of displaying up to 720p. it cannot display 1080p which is 1920x1080. i think it means output to a 1080p hdtv.

overall performance won't rely too plenty even nevertheless it would be favorite which you get discrete pics (a individual pics processor from ATI or nVidia as an occasion) in case you intend on doing something extra effective than in basic terms surfing. in case you won't be able to try this, then try going with a center i5 processor. bigger resolutions furnish extra area for courses to do their component on the exhibit screen. Stuff like textual content cloth would seem smaller on the 1080p selection yet i for my area think of you will relish it extra. i think of 720p on a almost sixteen" exhibit screen seems undesirable. remember that in case you bypass with the better res exhibit screen, you are able to continually exchange the alternative in domicile windows to the 720p in case you do no longer purely like the 1080p.
