When is a good time to plant a Kwanzan cherry tree? I live in Charlotte, NC. Would like to plant it now.?

If the ground is still workable now is the best time as the tree is or will go dormant very shortly. Give it good soaking and in the spring tine spread some 10-10-10 fertilizer around the base of the root ball It may have to be staked if tall and there is a lot of wind
