Did Ty Cobb drink to much or
Did Babe Ruth come to the game drunk and yet hit homers and they loved him
I say that

Should Pete Rose be denied the right to support his family too
Should they present his family with a plaques stating they are proud that Pete Rose never played the game and therefore his record of over 400 hits dont exist and Charlie hustle never ran to first base even when he got a walk

Results are results, you cannot strike them from the record books.

I think you're missing your own point. Pete is not being kept out of the record book and neither is shoeless Joe Jackson, they just aren't allowed in the HOF because they cheated, Rose is not being denied a chance to support his family, he's done quite well selling his name in spite of the ban. He's just not allowed to work in baseball until he admits what was proven that he did and is contrite. Rose is not sorry for what he did, only sorry for the consequences. Plus there was no investigation into Rose gambling as a player and nothing he has said or has been said about him would convince me that he didn't gamble while a player. Yes, he is innocent until proven guilty and I'll give him that and so has baseball. Check the record book, second longest hitting streak and most career hits, Pete Rose

Pete Rose should be in the Hall of Fame. True, what he did was wrong and should have been punished, but not to such a severe extent. A man's life work tossed in the garbage because he bet on his own team? Geez...I can see them keeping him banned from a managerial point of view (he did lie about the betting for a long time), but certainly not from a player point of view.

Pete Rose never admitted to, nor was he ever accused of betting on games while playing. It was only after he retired as a player and was a manager, that he confessed to betting on baseball games. What he did on the field should stand. He was an upstanding player, who played the game 110% every time he went out there. He didn't cheat and he never did anything illegal as a player!

Curious how you know that he never bet on baseball while playing, did he say that? Cause of course he would never lie about that.
No records should be wiped, there is no need. Fans know that he was a good (not great) hitter, he stayed in the league long enough to get the all-time hit record which causes many to think he is the greatest hitter ever (yawn).
However, he knew betting on the game, regardless of whom you bet on, is against the rules.
So, he is fine outside of the HOF. If he had truly wanted in, he wouldn't have bet on baseball.

Absolutely not. He broke the record fairly unlike most players today who are getting injected with steroids every 2 second. Put him in the hall just without anything to do with his managerial records. He's a baseball legend who belongs in the hall.

Pete Rose was the best hitter ever to land on earth so no he should it be. i think he should be in hall even if he gambled, cuz half of americans have gambled before, and people make mistakes so why not give him a break?

Pete rose got screwed. his records should stand. Babe and ty were boosed when they played but I say records are records until broken (without steroids), Bonds record should be tossed out!

No.
All the rest is noise and nonsense.

Rose fans, apologists, and enablers don't like to acknowledge this, but Rose's record for career outs is probably "more unbreakable" than his record for career hits.
