Ive never had one before and the water wont drain. I tried flipping the switch a couple times but it just swirls the water around. Should I take a plunger to it or just call the lanlord to take care of it?

Call the landlord.. DO NOT put anything in it...They are dangerous...

Believe it or not use the plunger and if that don't work use a wood paint stir and move things around.

try the plunger if that does not work then either call the plumber and land lord

its not the disposer, the drain is pluged, call the land lord
