Should security be increased as a result of the shootings? Opinions?

It could have happened on the street. You can't have enough security, 70% of the workforce would have to be guards. The sad fact is this could have been stopped. The reason the Ohama shootings occurred is because the police and whatever other public services exist and are supposed to deal with these people failed. There had been reports about the flake and enough reason to believe he was dangerous. He should have already been put away for life before the event took place. All these maladjusted "goth" types and other freaks who can't get a grip on life who don't fit in with society should be separated from society. Personally I'm for drafting their butts and sending them to the front in whatever war we happen to be engaged in. At least as cannon fodder they will have some use.

in order to stop shooting like the one at the mall security would need to be beefed up everywhere..... that will never happen and at a crowded mall he could have been by an exit and picked off a bunch of people when they were coming and going..... just be sure to duck when the shooting starts....

Yeah, I think so. I live right next to Omaha, NE. One of the people killed was from my town. On the news they are showing video of that guy going into the store, looking around, the camera zoomed in on him, they had to be thinking something was suspicious to have zoomed in on him like that, he walked right back out of the store, I'm assuming to get the gun, then walked back in where the camera zoomed in on him again, now don't you think maybe a security guard would have gone up to him or come up behind him or something? It just baffles me how someone could take out all of those innocent people just because he didn't want to live anymore. I work in retail and it scares a lot of us at my store, just goes to show that you're not safe anywhere.

They should have better security, what are a bunch of security guards with no guns going to do? They should atleast have a tranklizer gun or something

You'd probably love it if they started giving everyone cavity searches before they could enter the mall.
People need to start defending themselves and stop being such a bunch of pansies.
