xbox 360 or ps3?

i live in israel and my mom just got to the u.s as a trip from her job and i want her to buy me a xbox 360 but im not so shore what's cheaper in the u.s now , is the 360 cheaper or the ps3 cheaper? cuz here the ps3 costs almost 300 more dollars then the u.s (like if in the u.s it costs 300 here it costs 600) :( cuz its imported so i dont really have any idea whats cheaper , and google refuses to tell me - everything i search is found by resoults from like 2006...

so my question is really what should i buy and whats cheaper?

The Xbox 360 has more cheaper models, but there is one PS3 model that costs less than 1 Xbox 360 model. Here are the prices:

Xbox 360 Arcade (no hard drive, don't buy it): $279.00
Xbox 360 Premium- $349.00
Xbox 360 Elite -$449

PS3 40GB- $399
PS3 80 GB- $499

The only PS3 model that's cheaper than one of the Xbox 360 models is the 40GB PS3. I recommend getting the 40GB PS3 even though it can't play PS2 games. But if your mom can spend just $100 bucks more to get the 80GB PS3, go for it because it can play PS1 and PS2 games.

The Xbox 360 has a 33% hardware failure rate and the chance of getting the Red Ring of Death is high, so don't wast your time with it. The PS3's hardware is less than 1% and is the most reliable console.

The PS3's have so much more features and technology built in, so even though the 40GB and 80GB PS3 costs more than the 360 Arcade and 360 Premium, it is worth it.

pc. build a quad center, 4 gig Ram, with a 6770 or 550 for around $six hundred-$seven hundred then you somewhat can play pc video games. Gamecube and Wii video games with the Dolphin Emu. you are able to play PS1 and PS2 video games with epsxe1&2 Play any game for the old structures, GB, NES, Atari, MAME, and so on, and so on.. DS video games too. easily the only video games you are able to no longer play on pc are, xbox1 xbox360, psp, and ps3. and that i've got a CFW psp for the psp, and a supercard dstwo for my DS. PS3 HAS NO GAEMS maximum the good 360 video games are on pc too, so fairly i'm no longer lacking something plenty, and that i nevertheless have far greater video games then I even have time to play lol, I actually have a million 1TBchronic finished, and that i'm commencing on the 2d. in case you do no longer want a pc, get a 360.
