I was told by someone a while back about a way to repair a guitar nut string guide that was accidently filed down too low causing the string to buzz by using some kind of glue (maybe crazy glue) and (possibly) baking soda concoction. I don't remember exactly what he mentioned, but it supposedly dries as hard as the nut it's self, and fixes the problem. I'm hoping that someone out there knows what I'm refering to

You can make a paste of the baking soda and
crazy glue that will dry hard and white.
Plaster works too.
If you're just talking about filling a notch that was
filed too deep, it should be easy.
The ivory should be clean and dry.
Keep the glue off your hands.
Use match stick or wire to mix & apply the paste.
You'll have to be quick & neat about this.
Scotch or masking tape can keep the paste
off places you don't want it.
Fill the notch and file it to the right depth this time.

no way, your dreaming, You may be able to lift out the nut and use super glue to reglue it at a slightly higher position so it can be filed down to it correct height
Good luck

Use an epoxy, some saran wrap and some common sence and you should do fine.
Spray the saran wrap with pam so it can be removed after the epoxy dries.

I hope this works as well as it did for me
