My blackberry pearl went through the washer, and it's not starting up... is it broken? Is there any way to fix it, or do I just have to get a new phone? Help! TT-TT

Its probably NOT going to work anymore.

I'm gonna TRY to explain this but I'm not sure how well its going to come across.

Inside under the battery cover, on the wall of the phone next to where the SD MEMORY card goes, there is a sticker a little time square, if its NOT white you're in trouble! lol Its probably not I think the color it turns might be red or pink or something but anyways if its NOT white you will notice it right off the bat. This is how companies can tell if a phone got wet is NOT covered by normal wear and tear under a warranty.
If you have a hard time finding this little white or colored square just start checking out the whole phone near the speaker under the battery cover. You will come acrossed it.

A phone never works good again after being wet anyways tho so the chances are pretty high that its going to have to be replaced.

Let me just add this.... sometimes when a phone gets wet its NOT the phone that needs fixing its a usually a new battery. The phone MIGHT dry out but the battery probably wont.

*I dropped my Sony Ericsson in the toilet once. Just needed a new battery and it was good to go!

Hey I'm no expert at this, but I have had several phones. Once I managed to drop a nokia out of my shirt pocket into a toilet. (Luckily I had flushed) after I fished it out I dried it on a paper towell, took the battery out, dried it, and crammed another paper towel inside to hopefully soak up moisture. I left it there for a couple days, put it back together and it worked fine until I changed phone companies. However, if I had to do it again I would call my carrier first thing to ask for advice.

If its not starting up, you probably have to get a new phone, but one day as a little kid, I had a phone in china, and I jumped into a pool where you try to catch fish with a bucket. Well, my cellphone was in my pocket and it was SOAKED. My uncle took a hair-dryer thing and blew it with my cellphone, and it got revived. Cell-phones can survive thru alot. Before you return it, just try reviving it.

You can answer this question all by yourself. Just wait until the phone is dry and try to use it. If it doesn't work then it's probably broken. If it does work then it probably is not broken.

It's not rocket science.
