I have had similar problems with my motorola phones and chargers. I think that the little conductor pins on the charger that go into the mobile phone oxidize in the air so they dont make proper contact with the phone. I have gone through 3 chargers with the 2 motorolas i have had ( the razr and the 'V525')

I can't remember what I spent on it but I had one.
Went straight from that to a Star-Tak flip phone

my mum+dad did,and it was way tooo much,lots more than todays,it came in a carry case.(small breif case)Then in 1996,i bought a mobile and it was half the size,stil had a bit of weight in it.It was a big a my hand,now i have one i cant find! cheers+thanx for the flashback :)
