if in 90s the Rwanda genocide was happening under your watch?
(NOTE: THIS WAS ASKED EARLIER TO THE NIGHT CREW)

Curious to know for several reasons...
Many of you are so quick to condemn the thought of invading another country (which I understand...it is a legitimate position)

Some of you might take the easy way...and say let's do diplomacy...or let the U.N. take care of it. (which is another way of saying let's avoid the problem...I don't want to deal with)
BTW...diplomacy witin the U.N. was tried...as a result over half million died in 90 days.

So my question is a very strong philosophical question...WHAT WOULD 'YOU' DO?

(Disclaimer: I don't like Bill Clinton but this question is not a hit against him..because who knows what anyone would do in his situation. I acknowledge that being President of the United States is no easy feat)

Chi Guy,

Just to let you know...You wrote a long answer...which I don't plan on selecting as the best answer...

But you get an 'A' for effort. Very intuitive indeed.

Certainly we had a more valid reason to go into Rwanda than we had to go into Iraq.

If you see a murder being committed and you do nothing to stop it, you are as guilty as the murderer. We may not be able to police the whole world, but both the US and France had troops in Rwanda and we did nothing to stop the violence. We had guns, the militia had machetes. We could have stopped it, but instead we allowed the genocide to happen and then set up the ICTR as a band-aid.

If I were Bush I'd fire myself. Then I would turn myself in to the justice department and confess the litany of lies I told to start a war with Iraq.

If I were me I'd replace the cabinet members with a mix of people versus yes men with one agenda.

I would pardon the two Border Patrol agents.

I would begin a phased withdrawal of US troops from Iraq.

I would seek legislation to ban paid lobbyist and take my argument to the American people.

I would put forth my current solution to illegal immigration.

I would set two national priorities:
1) 80% Energy independence by 2020
2) 50% decrease in the national drop out rate by 2015

I would push to simplify or abolish the tax code.

I would increase military pay 15% over a three year period by cutting funds to some defense companies.

I would cut aid to Israel by 50% over a five year period.
