In general it made a bitter, pessimistic old cynic like myself even more bitter, pessimistic and cynical. I lost a lot of my faith in humanity on that day- that something like that could actually happen.

What has happened to the world, and our society in particular since 9/11 has pis-sed me off to no end. We live in a world of fear -garbage head paranoia, to be blunt- where our every move is tracked and traced and the slightest wrong move or word will have you immediately branded as a 'terrorist'. Free speech is dead; the right to protest is dead, so many restrictions have been put on travel that you might as well just stay at home...you want me to keep going down the line about all the changes? And then we have stupid, ignorant a-sholes like Boxing Fan or whatever his name is, saying, forget about it, and other wankers making stupid jokes about it. Well, folks, I'm finding myself increasingly like the Howard Beale charecter in the movie "Network" when it comes to these sorts of people, to wit:

"I'M MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!"

G-ddamnit, do I miss the good old days before 9/11. Don't you? If I could build a f-ckin' time machine I would, you know.

Personally September 11th didn't personally '' affect '' me in the feelings situation.

Personally, Im 14 right now, then I was 8, 9 years old, and it took a big effect on my ways of how life should be used.

One thing people forget is that after life, thats it for you..there's nothing left, basically a black-hole..

I think when I was 8-9years old I didn't know what to think off life, religion etc, basically I knew I was free from politics, locked up in prisions..

So one day when I was playing football, I come in try to watch the CBBC Channels, but it was all blocked up with the 9/11 situation...

At the time I thought it was nothing, a few planes hitting into this tower, O' whats the worst thing, it was on every channel, and I got annoyed,

Looking back Im in shock, something so dramatic happening for many reasons - Religion, ways of life..But who do we blame for this?

I belive It's effected my feelings for life, but I know everyday I need to do something that makes me happy inside, just in-case something so dramatic happens again, to me or some people I know, I know personally I didn't die for nothing

It made me realize that bad things happen for sure, but the most important thing is how you respond, and that you respond with love.

I got this important message in a dream I had about 9/11 six years before it happened. I also experienced the 9/11 attacks because I worked in a building right across from the World trade Center. If you want, I can send you a copy of the dream I had.

just e-mail me.

It has effected me in many ways. Ever since 9/11 insurance premiums for businesses hit the roof, my civil liberties are under constant threat with amongst other things a compulsory id card soon to be issued in the UK. I feel under constant threat of attack and reprisal whenever I walk down the street, or I get suspicious looks when i walk into certain shops.
I am not a Muslim so just think how they must feel after it all.

I was in New York 9 months before it happened, my company actually lost a lady employee in the tragedy. Anyway i was on the 108th floor at a party, the best party i have ever been to in my life. I used to DJ, and this this nite the DJ was awesome, playing dance tunes from all around the world, i met a gorgoeus brazilian girl, we danced awesome night. Nine months before it hapened.
I was very sad, that i couldnt go back and do that night over again, so i got hooked on the story...as i dug further the more holes appeared in the 9/11 story....i am convinced 9/11 has sinister under currents...you have to research as i have....9/11 has more to it than the official explanation!!!!

It hasn't directly effected me as no body I knew was injured or killed in the 9/11 attacks. However I am sorry for all the friends and families who did lose someone in the attacks.

My partner works in tourism. Within a week of 9/11 his earnings plummeted. Our daughter was a small baby at the time. We had to sell our house. We are now living in a rented house and are too old to buy again.

I'm in UK.

Not a lot! I always thought that with all the denigration of Muslims, we might one day suffer a back lash.
My first reaction was, 'Well, let's hope this time the USA will go it alone.' Fat chance.
You can't treat people like underlings and with contempt over decades, if not centuries without incurring retaliation.
The western world has only itself to blame.
I'm a fool! I thought we were Christians and believed in tolerance, forgiveness and peace.

It's made me realise what is really important: money or life? Although the World Trade Centre was a symbol of economic power for the US, the US has become a more 'human' country as result.

For me, things have come down to earth.

Decode this lyrics " Who will save the world"
Changed everyone.
In the creation of peace on earth goodwill to men for the good of mankind.
In saving our own little one for the future.
In the survival and advancement of living human kind.
Without being aware of the mess created in own backyards.
Luke 6.39-40,41-45,46-49
What do you think?
