I have had my rose hair for about 6months now. She dug herself a hole in the bedding and proceeded to build a web around herself. On the second day she broke out of it. She has since then balled up the web and is sitting on it. She has been like that for about 2 1/2 weeks and will not eat or leave the ball of web. What do I do?

Don't do anything to disturb her.. I would assume that she created an egg sac and that's what the ball of webbing is..
Grammatola rosea (rose hair) can go months without eating and be perfectly fine.. So long as she doesn't look like her abdomen is thinning down at all, she'll be fine..
Unfortunately, most pet stores still sell wild caught G rosea even though they have been bred in captivity.. They can get them even cheaper by the boxful as imports, so, that's what they do..
More then likely, your rose hair was loose in chile about a year ago.. Grammastola's can take a long time to lay eggs once they've been bred.. I have one that's taken over 6 months and still hasn't laid them, but, she's obviously gravid..
Just wait and watch... for more info, check out arachnoboards.com and do a search for rosea egg sac.. You'll find tons of information for how to deal with little young ones..

Sounds like the Rose Hair Tarantula is getting ready to molt. This is exactly how they act beforehand.
Try placing one cricket in the cage.
If the tarantula shows no interest, then remove the cricket.
At this time, a little moisture is very important.
Lightly mist the cage every day. Don't directly mist her.
Most tarantulas sold in pet stores are females.
She will lay upside down on the web and crawl out of the old carapace from below.
Do not disturb her for at least a week after molting because this is the time she is most vulnerable.
About 7-10 days after molt, try one cricket again.
If she goes after it, then you know she's ready to eat again.
This kind of tarantula needs about 80% humidity in the cage all year round so it is advisable to mist once a day but do not overwet. Provide a water dish big enough for the tarantula to crawl in but only about 1 1/2" deep.

You say she balled it up? did she just kind of wad it or is it a sort of pretty looking ball? Like possibly an egg sac? They are fiercely protective of their babies so I would advice that you not mess with her, just keep her under observation, provide her with food in case she's hungry and see what happens.
