This number keeps showing up on my phone bill, yet everyone denys ringing it and we cant identify whos number it is. Can anyone tell me what this number is for.

Can't identify it, but you can subscribe to Call Barring which cost £1.75 if you are with BT.
You might be able to get them to block this one number for free if you call the operator and tell her you think someone is making calls to a £1/minute number from your phone and it isn't you.

I can find the number either - however if you register with the Telephone Preference Service they will cut out almost all of these types of nuisance calls.
You should note that you need to stay on top of your registration, ie you may need to register once a year, and be careful about reading and ticking privacy messages on forms - online and paper ones.
