Yahoo is not a goverment, but it should follow goverment rules,by allowing freedom of speech.
If sum one is worried about their kids,MONITOR ur children,Dont allow companies to monitor them for u,Thats poor parenting skills. Its ur children, not theirs, besides,if ur that worried about ur kids seein sumthing offensive,,keep them off the internet, the internet is no place for a child to be left alone!!!!
If yahoo is in the united states, then they should not censor peoples opinions-thats a invasion of our goverment rights.

That's the truth.Yahoo expects everyone on here to abide by the rules and act all perfect. No one is like that!We should be able say what we want to say and when we want to say it.Why should they even care about what were saying!?

Freedom of speech pertains to our ability to speak out against the government and not suffer retribution from the government for expressing our opinion. Freedom of speech does not guarantee that we can say whatever we want wherever and whenever we want. Basically, this is Yahoo's living room and we are guests. Just the same as you can make your orwn rules about how people behave in your house so can Yahoo.

I'm fairly okay with the way things are. I think it's important to make a reasonable attempt to avoid totally disgusting content, and the easiest way is to allow people to report it. Although some legitimate questions are deleted, they may get through the next time.
For the record, I think people on YA ought to express their opinions in a civil manner. It's not right to report an answer or question just because you don't like it. I won't report any opinion no matter how outrageous, unless it is written in an obscene or grossly indecent way.

Freedom of speech only means the government can not tell you what to say or think.

If you think yahoo needs to let you put up any question you want on their website than under the same logic you would be violating the free speech of the teenagers down the street if you remove the spray paint from the side of your house.

It's your house and it's yahoos website.

this country still has property rights

No. They are a private company and are not beholden to laws applying to the Federal government.

People agreed to abide by Yahoo's rules when they signed up, and deletion of posts is something they're allowed to do.

No. It's a private company that allows people to post stuff. If you want to share opinions that YA doesn't like, you can make your own website.
