Fog lights or distance lights?
I'm ready to add some lights to my 06 wrangler. I noticed that the choices are driving lights, distance lights, and fog lights.
What’s the difference? I live in the south and e don't have allot of fog. Any recommendations?

Go for the distance lights. Fog lights don't do much at all except blind oncoming drivers, unless there's a fog. I see some people who leave them on all the time, and I can't help but wonder if they're even looking through the windshield. Otherwise, they'd notice that they don't do much at all for them.

One other thing - be sure that the switch for the distance lights is easy to get to, so that you're not blinding other traffic with them.

Distance lights. You will actually use them. Fog lights are near useless.

Fog lights are designed to be casted down so the fog will not reflect in your eyes. The cover a wider area but not a further area.

The other lights let you see far ahead.

Somtimes the fog lights are a different color as they think it helps you to see better in the fog.

Have you ever use hunting glasses such as the yellow ones? It makes you feel like you are seeing better but after a while you know it doesn't really help that much... well that are what fog lights are about.

The "only" time fog lights will help you is in the fog and they help very litte.
