As my Mother told me once when I was young and questioning the difference she showed between my little brother and myself, she said "Dylanne it's not about whether I love your brother more than you, when the fact of the matter is some kids are just more needy than other kids and it makes it look that way"
Now that I'm a lot older I do understand what she meant by that statement. My kids have thought the same thing as well as my grand kids sometimes and when I've been questioned about it I tell them what Mom told me which is the truth. I love them all the same but sometimes some are more needier than the others:)

I believe that every child has an attribute that makes that child favored in their parents eyes. For instance, I have several pets. I love ALL of them, but each one for different reasons
Katrina, tough & fiesty, full of spunk
Turner, sweet & cuddly.. always loving
Princess, beautiful and clean and neat, never makes a mess
Midnight, My first, I raised her from a kitten, cried when I would leave
same thing for kids

I think they love them all sure. I do however think that certain personalities click better so parents can tend to lean towards one child. The one that usually agrees with everything they say or do.. It's the follow the leader type. That's what I noticed from my own parents. I'm hoping as a parent myself to break that mold.. gd

I think they have one they relate to better than others. Similar personality or likes and dislikes. Not "love more" kind of favorite.

Some parents do... in olden times it was the oldest, (he got everything in the will and stuff like that). Nowadays, i think it is normally the youngest.

not so much a favorite,but one they identify with more.
i know kids tend to pick a parent that they like more

I know my Mom does..but as for me..mine are all my favorite for different reason so i can honestly say I don't have one.

They may not say it or try really hard not to express it AND they may love all their kids but there's always on they love more than the rest!!! Yeah i havent been loved too much : (
