Correct me if i'm wrong:
the Quadratic formula is :

x = -b ± √(b^2 - 4ac) / 2a
?

is that correct?

Almost...make sure you understand that the -b is part of the numerator as well...

x = [ -b ± √(b^2 - 4ac) ] / 2a

You needed an extra bracket pair
