how to solve problems?

why can't the usa sell the virgin islands,pureto rico and pay off the national debt,drill for oil here and buy only oil found here, recreate mass transit,bring the troops home and close our boarders?????

You can try, but would anyone want to buy? And at what price? The US probably doesn't want to sell in the first place.
