It is considered part of the continent of Africa although it is not physically attached to Africa. Just as Sicily is part of Italy and Japan is part of Asia.

Yes. It's a huge island off the SE coast. Google it. When you refer to a country, use a capital letter. It's a proper noun. Madagascar.

africa is a continent or a geographical entity. madagascar is a separate country/island on its own. maybe it was part of the african continent at some earlier time. the theory goes that all of the continents were one once.

Yes, it is an African Country.
It has some unique characteristics and animals, enough so that some zoologists study it as a unique ecosystem, like Tasmania.
It is also part of the Tectonic African Plate:

i guess it is. is just off the coast of africa. since they consider new zealand and all them islands 'australasia', i would think madagascar would be part of africasia.

It's an island out side of africa- it is a member-state of the Organisation of African Unity.

I would say yes, but then say tht sentace about organisation afterwards

No because it is an island and therefore not connected to Africa. But it IS a territory of Africa as is Hawaii to the US.
