He also raised more taxes in Arkansas than Bill Clinton did when they were in the same job.

Article VI of the US Constitution speaks to the requirements of public office explicitly denouncing any religious Test. I'm not for either party in general or any particular candidate at this point but I do think pressed by the media some are taking this religious issue too far. Those of us whom have studied philosophy will recognize the phrase slippery slope. The very first thing that came to mind for me as Gov Hukabee scorned (by inference) the religious precepts of Gov Romney's religion was, who does Huckabee think he is? He's touting the attributes and courting the Evangelical Christians -arguably some of the more fanatical groups politically. Any way I get a little nervous when the target group to appease is, to a large degree, historically the very folks who gave birth to the Ku Klux Klan in the 19th century and well into present times in the South. I don't remember history accounting for Mormon lynch mobs. Because there probably were none.

The durmond case is much more comlex then you make it seem. Nonetheless, even if it was as simple as you make it out to be that is not disqualifying. Huckabee thought the man was innocent, so he did what he though was right. He was wrong. So what? That does not mean his decision making process was bad. When acting on partial information you must go with what you know. If you were convinced a convicted murderer was innocent what you do the same?
I don't know the specifics of the AIDS deal, but I really don't see a problem. What's wrong with seperating someone who has a potentially communicable disease. That's just good medical practice.
I still am not convinced he is the right canidate, but we shouldn't object to him because of the sort of reasons you listed. Examine his platform and make your decision.

It's been painful enough watching Vladimir Putin make a fool out of George Bush. Can you imagine what Putin would do to the wise-cracking Huckabee?

No, I don't think he is ready to lead us in foreign policy. He doesn't have enough experience. I think he is likable, but I wouldn't even want him for vice president.

Yes, rapists have rights too.
And patients that don't have aids, also have rights.
