Why doesn't anyone ever ask about the parents of the baby boomers???
Mine where crap!
By to-days moral standards they both would be incarcerated with keys thrown away forever!!!
And noone, absolutely noone, ever asked me how I feel or what I think about them!!!

I think people all over the world, from every generation are the same. Some are good parents and grandparents, some are bad. Most of us do the best we can, wish the best for our kids and grandkids. We don't want to make mistakes, but we do, being human, just like our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents etc etc etc did, and like you and yours will do. The thing is to realize everyone does the best they can with what they have, to forgive the mistakes, accept that it can't be changed, be grateful for the good things and get on with trying our own best, and accepting we will make mistakes.

i can only speak for myself as I am a baby boomer and I am a good parent and now have five grandkids and I'm even better as a grand parent. I feel I have more time now and less stress of work and life itslef to enjoy the grandkids more.
I gather it is the person themselves rather than all baby boomers as everyone is differant.

I think grandparents always do a better job than parents. This is where we get to use that great big eraser to try to correct our mistakes.

Far too many of us were too self-absorbed to me of much use as parents or grandparents.
