Not sure how it happened, maybe a result of the neighbor upstairs doing something or possibly faulty building structure which is actually ocurring with some buindings in my complex. My HOA insurance covers only the outer structures, walls. I have renters insurance for personal items so would this be covered under my mortgage insurance? HOA says not covered by their insurance??

If the breakage occurred due to faulty building structure, your insurance won't cover it. The larger problem, however, is that it will happen again if the structure is not sufficiently strong to keep pressure and weight off those glass panes. I'd recommend that you investigate the source of the issue to get it permanently resolved.

Most insurance policies have a deductible clause, where you pay the first $200-$500. I doubt your damage exceeds the deductible.
