My goal is to be a location scout. If you know ways for me to make this happen, could you share that info?

there are so many places and locations available to me that I know would be ideal for videos, films or commercials. What I need to know is how to find the people who will pay me for sharing this information and how do I know the reasonable rates for my services. Thanks for your help.

Most of the people who do such are either realtors, or government agents (to steer Hollywood types away from sacred areas, slums, etc), or people with very good "connections", etc. And, for the most part, the non-government scouts are folks they know or have dealt with before.

The job is also not as simple as it may sound; you would be responsible for getting permits to shoot scenes, licenses, pay taxes, arrange for hotels, food, etc, etc, etc.

FWIW, I've worked on stage and screen, on both sides of the "camera"; and, no, you've never heard of me! ;)
