As you know, the United States' debt is approaching 10 trillion dollars. The value of the Dollar compared to the Euro is shrinking, the Canadian dollar has past the US dollar, and the Peso is catching up.

If you were president, what changes would you make to relive the National Debt?

Why blame the president ? If 'ordinary' Americans got off there bums, worked more productively, bought less cheap imported rubbish, stopped being wastefull etc. / etc. it might help, instead of just whining !!

How does a country get in debt "" what up wit dat " Cant the pres just say start the press >> paper making machine and get money or does the big guy owe someone I hear that someone invented the euro so Mr pres sir call the right then pay them as they wish to be paid { more pork on my plate sir}!

I wouldn't eliminate it entirely. I would reduce it to a more manageable debt servicing. Every time the U.S. has completely eliminated its debt there has been a financial panic or a depression. That has been true for every period in our history, including the payment of the debt from the American War For Independence.
