I know there's a damned huge snake eating an egg or so every day. But he's wily. So, anyone have any good ideas 'bout how I can catch him in the act? Or do they make 'snake traps'?

The chickens are in a prefert kennel, with 2 layers o' chicken wire all the way around to a height of 5 feet, and the scaly monster still gets in.

put some golf balls in the nest. It's what my Dad did and it worked. The snake could not get back through the wire. He killed the snake. I thought it would be interesting to watch the snake try to pass the golf balls. Either way you get rid of the snake.

I liked the golf ball idea.

Otherwise, could you rent a closed circuit TV camera in an attempt to see where the snake is entering?
