Been friends throughout my teen years with somebody but recently shes been wierd. She started declining to come out with our group, leaving early or ignoring us. She'd already alienated a few people due to s**t stirring and talking behind backs but i'd always given her another chance because she was generally a nice person and i'm obviously a mug.
I thought maybe she was upset about something and i let her know i was there for her but she insisted nothing was wrong-then she stopped calling, texting, kept cancelling on me at the last minute and standing me up. I was the only one still inviting her out but i took the hint and stopped and we haven't talked since.
I bumped into her whilst i was shopping with a new friend and she put on a show, making out like nothing had changed?!?(i hear she doesn't really go out at all now).I was off with her, then since have txted several times asking for my stuff back but to no reply.Without kicking down her door how can i get answers and my stuff back?

Sounds like your friend has bad social skills. Prolly social anxiety. Could stem from her environment and how she was raised. Look for clues in her living situation? Is she an only child? Does she live with only one parent? Or if she's older, what's her history? U seem like a really good person. Sucks for your ex-friend that she couldn't see that...Question: How bad do you need this STUFF back? Is it sentimental or costly and/or irreplacable? If not, I'd say just forget about it. Why keep the drama going? Maybe you're thinking that it's just the principle of the matter. I still say forget about it. But if you must have your stuff back, tell her you're coming to get your sh1t today!!! Or just show up at her door and calmly say, "I don't want no problems--just give me my sh1t" =D Perhaps bring a whole gang with you just incase she starts trippin!!!

I hope you dont take offense to this, but it just sounds like she has grown out of the party days. Judging by her friendly demeanor that you seem to think is devious when you ran into her, and her not going out much any more...she probably realizes you and your "group" were just smiling at her face and talking behind her back...just like now.

If you have known her for so long, you probably know where she lives. The logical thing to do is drop by and tell her you need a couple of your things for the weekend or something. Keep it casual, and make small talk. Catch up on gossip or whatever, and just be drama free for once.

I find it humorous that you seem to want her to be an enemy, just because she doesn't go out with you anymore. Even funnier that you act like you were doing her a favor for being her "friend".

You can't. You left it there, it's hers now. Get over it.
