I am one of those in between sizes - my back size is 43 - I have been wearing size 42 bras and they are (generally) quite comfy.
My cup size is anywhere between C & E depending on what sizing guide you read (as no 2 producers appear to size the same!)
I have been wearing unwired sports type bras (M&S mainly) for the past 6 years but have decided I would like a better fitted bra which will give me more shape - so a boost rather than just a mound (if you see what I mean!!!)

Suggestions please!!

OOOKay. So - how come so many people answer this that just want to have a go? I wanted to know what bras the ladies recommend. I wasn't asking them to size me - just for personal opinions!
So thanks to those that read the questions and answered and may I suggest that Helen reads the question - I'm asking for recommendations not advice, and Lulabelle go screw herself?

Your size makes things a bit trickier . but you're right, it's worth hunting the right style out

Rigby and Peller are very good... I like lejaby and agent provocateur... and Triumph make some nice styles too!

try the site below to help with measuring - it's really good

Measure under bust. Then on bust. 2nd should be bigger or you've no bust!!. Then each inch of a difference is a different cup size. So if first measurment is 36" and second is 39" you are a 36c If first is uneven I'd round up and use tightest hooks. But remember different makes are different. I think you really need to try on. But size is a quide. Good luck.

Have you tried simply be? www.simplybe.co.uk
They have a wide range of sizes and the bras aren't frumpy like most bras for your cup size. Some of them give you the 'wow' factor! Try them.

Sorry - but no one would be able to tell you your bra size off what you stated.

Why you would wants a second opinion from here with all the clowns around is also a mystery to me :P

Here, try this :)
