Iraq is a so-called midget country & as such fits into the american warplanners plans. Iran is a different story, since it has a welltrained real army. Iran would be no easy match for the U.S. & the americans knows it.

The presidents finished plan is to invade Iran and the plan remains there. Why else did the government invade Iraq and Afghanistan, with the aid of fact they have been the source of the terrorist, Noooo. LOL. Iraq and Afghanistan encompass Iran and the U. S. military is located in those 2 areas. for sure Bush's finished intentions became Iran interior the 1st place. Iran has stepped forward plenty interior the previous few years, given the two many years sanctions has been located on it. regardless of the shown fact that Iran now has the ability of producing Nuclear potential. Oh Oooo this is truly not stable for united statesa. or Israel. Intelligence officers would have observed this a on a similar time as returned and for this reason created the full WMD's and Talibanidea to invade those countries and get to Iran. even nevertheless the president under no circumstances expected the strikes to maintain on with in Iraq and Afghanistan. All we can desire of for peace and sooner or later that we human beings will provide up killing one yet another.

This is a simple answer Iran would have posed a very seriouse threat to U.S soldgiers. Irans millitary is extremly well trained and well armed and they also have balistic weapons that surely would reach Isreal thus cousing a back lash against America. Isreal and the many backers of Isreal would want a total iniolation of Iran to prevent retalion once a war has begun.I also feel that the case for war would have been much less easier since Iran has many backers(Russia,France ,China ext.). I also feel that Bush had an agenda against Saddam Hussein as his father did.
This was a major experiment of George W Bush to try to see if he could export democracy to a weak arab nation and at the same time try to lower the price of oil or at least make it more accesible and at a continued lower price. I know for a fact he had failed on both.
I feel that it was easier for the U,S to build a case against people who are some what shunned from the international community. I do want people to understand that oil makes friends and sometimes enemies.Russia and France and China have an extrordinary buissness relationship that has been well documented even durring turbulent times.I also know that Iran has a much more uniformity in its people and doctrine and religiouse belief so this would pose as a threat to the U.S becouse they would more or less face a combined effort from an entire nation unlike Iraq with many different fighting groups and many different agendas.

The real threat is the Bush Administration. Since its a given that Americans are lied to, and since the Bush administration has damaged our military and our ability to respond to other events, I don't see Iran as the real threat. What ever happened to diplomacy?
Iran has seen what we did to Iraq and knows the danger we pose to other Middle Eastern states. I doubt very much that Iran is a threat to us. The REAL question is why did we invade and occupy Iraq in the first place.
For all you conservative neocons who support the Bush administration, how's that war working for you ?
I see this as Bush's war and America's greatest foreign policy blunder since the Vietnam war.
We don't seem to learn.

Neither one are a threat to the US. Bush is a bigger threat by doubling the National Debt and not hunting down Bin Laden.

It has always been the same old thing. Stronger vs. weaker. IF I am not mistaken, Iraq is just the tip of the iceberg, Afghanistan was just a warm up. Asia may by the target.

You don't remember all the games Saddam Hussein played with us and the UN? At the time, Hussein was passively hinting that he had access to weaponry that was not allowed, and he wouldn't let anybody in to look. He was moving weapon factories around in the dead of night and in a hurry, among other things. He basically dared America, by bluffing.

Had Saddam Hussein complied with Bush and the UN, he'd probably still be alive along with several thousand Americans.

By the way, Bush did not invade Iraq, America did.

He believed Iraq was an easier target, that we would swiftly take over and be in an ideal position to then take on Iran. Rumor has it that Syria, Lebanon, and Libya were also on the list.

Neither one was a threat. He should have gone after Bin Laden in Afghanistan and the Saudis. Most of the 9-11 bombers were Saudis.
