Boas, including the anaconda, are almost all Western Hemisphere snakes. Pythons are Eastern Hemisphere snakes. The longest snake recorded was a reticulated python. The heaviest snake is the anaconda, a semi-aquatic boa. Boas give birth to live young; pythons lay eggs.

Boa is one of the rare animals that uses its body to kill not its fangs does well in captivity.
Pythons have small teeth at the front and center of the upper jaw also known as an ambush predator.
Anaconda is in the Boa family and is the largest snakes.

The differences are really the size and location. However they all are in the boa family.

Anacondas live in the rain forest-rivers of south Amirica. depending on the spices some give live birth despite being reptiles. before you lough at this look at the web sites. one myth is that they are the biggest snake in the world and infact are in second place for that one. the reticulated Python is the biggest smake in the world. many people tend to like these as pets and although they can be owned in most states they have been known to kill people. in the wild there have been 13 cases recorded and not of people being eaten by snakes of this size. but for the most part they don't hunt humans.

pythons come in diffrent desines, and sizes. http://pythons.8m.com/

how detailed to you want it...

Size, coloration, region, habitat...?

(spelling?)

They are all constrictors.. some get bigger and eat larger things.. Some get REALLY big and eat damn near anyting they can catch (anaconda's) some have nasty tempers (typically pythons) some are shy (typically boas).

All are reptiles, egg layers, etc...

you might want to re-define your question to a more specific level.
