Court officer needs to levy the rent on the tenant of this landlord who I took to court because she would not give me my money back from the court judgment I won. Landlord is UNCOOPERATIVE. I need to find out the name of the tenants there. I cannot go through the mailbox to get a name, so any legal ways?? I HEARD something of a Certificate of Occupancy, from the local Board of Health, where the landlord must acquire and it will have the names of the tenants on there..true or false?

File a case of mandamus against the landlord so that the court will force him to present the contract for identification of the tenant/s so that appropriate action can be taken.

One thing that's often worked for me is to just go down to city hall and ask to look at the tax roll. It's public information, and will have the last address the person paid their taxes from. In my town, it's computerized, so you can look up a bunch of different ways.

No, that probably won't work in your favor. Just hire a private investigator. OR use the local phone directory. Do a search for that address & find the names that way.

You must file a discovery against the landlord.
