When I was 8 I told one of my friends from school that my parents weren't home and made up a huge story that they left me by myself. I guess I wanted to appear like they trusted me and I could handle it. She went home and told her mom and her mom called CPS on my parents. I got a big whopping for that one. At that age I didn't know the seriousness of what I was saying. Kids do the dumbest things!!

I've told some whoppers in my day, so it's really hard to choose. I guess it was when I got caught doing something I shouldn't have and told my wife that the people who caught me had made it all up. She believed me for quite awhile, but finally I guess she saw the light because she ditched me like a hot potato with very little warning and I haven't seen her (or my child) since. Not that I blame her but in terms of the magnitude of consequences, that was the biggest lie I've ever told.

When i was 18 i had my 2nd child. The guy i was going with at the time thought it was his baby. I was very good at hiding my pregnancies, so i told him yeah the baby is yours. Well my son is 8 now and the truth is my son is NOT his son lol lol . i am glad that is not his son, because the last time he did anything with him is when he was 9 months, i have been with my husband since my son was 6 months. now we all like as one family and i am glad of it ..

Someone told me they loved me and I froze up and didn't know what to say, so I just said it back. And I felt bad about it for a LONG time. Still do, in fact.
