I LOVED his music!
Woman what a great song
Imagine I saw that song signed once at a concert by a deaf man it was so beautiful and the words to the song to this day still fit the world.
I love his Christmas song too.
He was born too soon, he would have made a good leader for the country!
Give PEACE a chance!

I wish I could go to central park, I live to far, I did take today off from work, I am the only one in my office who was alive the day John Lennon was murdered. I did spend the day watching Hard Days Night, Yellow Submarine, and Help. My favorite songs are. Also, to the two answers who say they don't know John Lennon. He was a very talented artist, and if he (and the Beatles), did not exist, you would not have a good part of the bands you have today. Imagine instant karma beautiful boy nobody told me #9 Dream woman Watching the Wheels and the list can go on forever. RIP John Lennon I miss you.

When John Lennon died I cried for 6 months. I still miss him. No one has ever come close to replacing him. RIP John.

You know, there are plenty of people out in the world who ... without the wealth and fame behind them, VOLUNTEER so much more of their lives, their talents and ... their souls to the betterment of the lives of others ...
and who are NOT given the credit they deserve in this life.
However, here is someone who was a member of a band, and yes, although the music was catchy ... I can say this ..
I know more people who are in the Military Services who VOLUNTEER more to help their fellow man (and women/children too) than John Lennon ever did .. and that is the TRUTH.
So although his name is famous, I find it difficult to 'miss' someone who has spent his entire adulthood in the public eye -- someone who did NOT respect this country's Armed Forces, and who did not contribute as much to his fellow man through service to others.

Yes, I think he was a talented musician who believed in peace and loved Yoko Ono very much. He was experimental in his music and truly believed in what he played and thought and it was a tragedy he was dead after only 40 years on earth.

I was born 7 months and 6 days after he was killed so I never knew him alive but I wish he didn't die. He was an amazingly talented artist.

What's to miss?
It's not like we saw each other, talked on the phone, or were even pen-pals. I didn't know him personally.
I only knew him from his music, which I still hear. So my answer is no.

I do, and his death is one of the earliest memories that I have. I really love his music, but I love his lyrics the most. What a great writer he was.
