I might get two sugar gliders, but my mom will only let me get them if they can stay outside. Is that okay for them, or should they be kept inside?

They are very sensitive to temperature and MUST be kept indoors.

They are tropical and unless you live in a tropical rainforest, you MUST keep them warm.

They are nocternal and must be protected from the sun.

Living outdoors will expose them, not only to winter weather, but parasites, predators and stress. The stress alone can kill them.

Why get an animal you have to keep outside?
It's pointless.
Get a stuffed animal or a poster.

Taking them outside is dangerous not only beause they could easily run away, but also because they aren't used to "outside" germs and can get sick easily. Also, if it ran away outside and came across another animal like a cat or dog, it would get killed pretty fast. Just keep your suggies inside and they will be perfectly happy. I have had 3 sugar gliders.

Would be cruel to purchase them and not spend time petting them.
Sugar Gliders need lots of attention, a large cage, and warm temperatures.
A wild animal(like a rat) might eat them if they live in an outside cage.
