This era will forever be known as the steriod era. No different than any other. Through the years they have changed the mount, the ball and the size of the fields. The man is 44 yrs old and still an amazing player. When did we turn into a nation with so much hate, so quick to turn on people we once idiolized.

all u people are wrong. sports athletes are not role models!!!! that's the problem u guys have. parents & the people that spend time w/ ur kids on a daily basis are the real role models. sports athletes don't have the time & its nt their responsibility to be a role model for ur kids. they have their own lives to live.

barry bonds plays baseball to make money people. i have no problem w/ that. the reason why he's one of my favorite athletes is because he's honest. he doesn't have to talk to the media if he doesn't want to or kiss someone's *ss. he plays the game & goes home. simple. but u people want someone to lie to ur face, make u feel good, & be like arod. shut up. he's a great player. the all time home run king. his problem is this: before he used steroids he was on the fast track to the hall of fame. for one reason or the other he started using steroids & his ego took over & made him a freak. baseball & bud selig knew the man was juiced but couldn't out him because if he did he would out others so they let it slide just like baseball let mark mcgwire slide, sosa slide, & roger clemens slide. when he broke aaron's record selig washed his hands w/ him & the vultures (THE FEDS) swooped down & are now trying to lock him up. since barry wasn't a kiss *ss he's being singled out. his best friend greg anderson is getting paid money for his loyalty to bonds ( probably the only true friend he has) while he is in jail. bonds will get off on the charges cuz anderson was the star witness & life will go on.

p.s. the mitchell report is a joke.

Because how do we know Barry would have hit that many if he did'nt take steroids? It is not fair to Hank Aaron. I got nothing against Barry, in the end he will be the one with a lot of money and the record. He will be the one that is laughing. It is a sick world we live in where people like you can ignore the facts and not see that what he did is unfair to Hank.

Cuz he's an african-american in a sport that whites hold so close to their hearts, white player like paul byrd have been caught have been talked about as much as bonds, he simply all a plan to the records books pure, hank aaron went through the same and to all of those people who hate body cuz he's not media friendly, where in his contract does stay you must talk to reporters and be nice to them he is a human being who has the right as a human being to do and say watever he wants

I never liked the guy to begin with. He's always been an arrogant jerk and now he's a home run hitting arrogant jerk. I'm glad Hank Aaron had better things to do than waste his time on Barry Bonds.

I have never seen anyone except San Francisco fans idiolizing him. He has always been arrogant and not a media darling. I do believe he is only 43, too. He lied to us and the government that is why we don't believe in him.

Torches? Check.

Pitchforks? Check.

Hempen noose? Check.

Bloodlust-deranged mob? Check.

Ahh... just another day in the ol' Y!A Baseball forum after Bonds makes the newswires again.

It's because Hank Aaron is the true home run king and did not cheat and lie to get the title . It is not fair to him . Also I don't think that many people ever idolized that @sshole , he's always been a jerk .

Society has always tried to knock our heroes. There are just so many more outlets to do it in. Talk radio, the internet, and TV sports shows are all outlets to spew anything negative and opinions are able to be heard(sometimes just to create controversy).

Will you guys f**k off!! The last thing I need to hear is another Bonds-Bashing session. Barry has gone through a lot and he dosn't need jerk-offs like you ripping on him for something you all act like none of us did, which is cheating. Second of all, he is a nice guy once you sit down with him for a while.

Are you joking? He's a liar and a cheat and our kids have looked up to him so wrongly! I'd like to see his name completely erased from baseball history.
