I just looked up something called a smart cycle, its made by fisher-price. Its a educational bike that hooks to your tv I believe. I didn't read up on all of it but the going price was for around $100. If thats not too your liking then building blocks are always a nice children's gift. You can even Google search, just type in "toys for 3 year olds" and you'll get some sites, thats how I found the cycle.

My son is 3 and a half. This is a list of things he wants, I bought him SOME of the things, but he can't have it all!!:
A guitar
LOTS of army men stuff
Moon sand
Star wars Legos for Xbox 360
Legos
A hot wheels Scooter
Transformers action figures
Toy guns
Fisher Price Pirate Ship
A Light Saber
A set of REAL golf clubs and bag for kids 4-7 (cute!)
Matchbox cars
Color Wonder Sprayer
Ipod
Sleeping bag with air matress
binoculars
dominos
video rocker
rubix cube (he really wants this! I know he is just going to get frustrated!)
--I have found you really have to take online reviews with a very open mind. They can be harsh!!!! Main reason is if someone is completly happy with a product, they aren't going to rush to their computers to sing it's glory. HOWEVER someone who is NOT happy with someting will complain and whine for anyone and everyone to hear. You just have to remember to read the few good reviews, too.

3 year old boys are very easy to please. Since you've already got him the computer thing you don't need to add much more to it. Some parents buy all of the learning systems for their children and the different techniques end up confusing them. Let him learn on the one you've got before introducing him to another one. At toys r us they have wonderful ideas for young boys. If he likes Thomas the Train or Bob the Builder, whatever, they have numerous items that can be bought and added on to.

I have a 3/2 year old son, and here are some things I got for him: Cars, motorcycles, remote controlled car, He LOVES army men, (but some parents are really weird about "gunplay" these days,, guess I am old fashioned), he likes the movie "Transformers" a lot, bigwheel, Lego's, any kind of figurines,,, I hope this helps!!!!!
