no, the myth comes from coincidence. You dream about what you subconsciously think about although sometimes it can be abstract. If you dream about being the one in control of a plane but don't know how to fly, you probably feel like you aren't in control of your life or a large aspect of it. If you are subconsciously thinking about a person very often, chances are, they're are thinking about you too and so you might dream about each other on the same night.

Ooooooh so you mean that like if I dream of some little kid that I've never met that lives in Taiwan he's thinking of me too? How cute.
No ;) I found out about this because once I dreamed of everybody in my class,and basically the odds of them all thinking of me from 12:00 PM to 6:00 AM are a million to one.

It could be that you were thinking of that person before you fell asleep. I have been told that whatever you are thinking about you dream about. Of course both of you could be thinking about the other. That is possible you know.
