The supercontinent 1 billion years ago is refered to as Rodinia today. At the time, things were not named because there was no sentinent life to come up with names in the first place. Pangea was a much younger supercontinent and is the one that is more popularly known. It was around about 250 million years ago.
Things probably did not start getting named until shortly before historic times, maybe a few tens of thousands or hundreds of thoudsands of years ago. The continents have not changed much in that short time, so the way they named things would be somewhat similar to how you do it in everyday life. "Home", "over there", "downtown", "over yonder", "the beach", etc.

The world's scientific name is "Terra" as in "terra firma" ("solid ground" vs. water or the seas). The name of the super-continent was "Pangea", but that only covers the land mass, and not the water on the planet. In science fiction persons from Earth are frequently referred to as "Terrans" because they are from "Terra", i.e., "Earth". In actual prehistoric times, no one even knew that the Earth was a planet - people believed you would sail off the end of the world if you ventured out to far in the oceans, and this is much later than "prehistoric" times.

Well there have been many many super continents during the last 4.55 billion years so I am afraid you are going to have to be more specific.
