Not to my 14 yr old granddaughter, whom I raise! But I am sure that comparing me to other grandmothers I come out pretty good-such as, a sense of humor, keeping up on kids(I have to!) and staying active. I don't like to sit or be sedentary.I 'd probably fall asleep!
Today, at the grocery store it was very crowded and busy. An elderly man was blocking the cereal aisle (older than me) and younger families were anxious to move thru. But he couldn't make up his mind or remember the cereal he liked. It took at least 10minutes for him to decide! I patiently waited for my turn-people forget they also will be slow and old someday.

Only if the "viewer is postitive." Some seem to think that being elderly is a death sentence. They need to get real. They'll be elderly some day.

Not usually. Being elderly usually means you are a burden to society and your family. It is sad.Several of us older ones where I work are worried about our plant closing, because we know we will be overlooked for any good jobs in the area. With so many of us getting to be seniors, we need to unite and take care of our own!
